Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how RoxPacer ("we", "our", "us") handles your personal data across the RoxPacer Apple Watch app, iPhone companion app, and this website. Please read it carefully.
RoxPacer is developed and operated by Desmond de Moussac, an individual developer based in Singapore. Contact: desmond@mouss.ac.
Part 1 — The App (Apple Watch & iPhone)
Data collected by the app
RoxPacer collects and uses the following data on your device:
- Heart rate — read from Apple Watch sensors during a race or simulation session, displayed as beats per minute and heart rate zone on your watch screen.
- Workout data — race sessions are saved to the Apple Health app as workout records, including start time, duration, and active energy.
- Race plan data — your goal time, division, and personalised split targets are stored locally on your iPhone and Apple Watch using on-device storage only.
All app data stays on your device. RoxPacer has no server, no database, and no account system. Your race data, health data, and plans are never transmitted to us or any third party.
HealthKit
RoxPacer uses Apple's HealthKit framework to read heart rate during active sessions and to write completed workout records to the Health app. HealthKit access is requested at first launch; you may deny or revoke access at any time in the iOS Settings app under Health → Data Access & Devices.
We will never use HealthKit data for advertising, marketing, or any purpose unrelated to providing the core functionality of the app. HealthKit data is never shared with third parties, sold, or used for data mining. This applies without exception.
No account, no tracking, no analytics
The app does not require you to create an account. It does not contain any advertising SDK, analytics SDK, or crash-reporting SDK that transmits data off your device. No identifiers (such as your Apple ID, device ID, or advertising identifier) are collected or processed by us.
Location
RoxPacer does not request or use your location. Hyrox runs are indoor and GPS is not used for pacing calculations.
Part 2 — This Website (roxpacer.app)
Data collected on this website
- Email address — if you join the waitlist or sign up for launch updates. We use Loops.so to manage our mailing list. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send.
- Payment information — if you pre-order the app. Payments are processed by Stripe. RoxPacer never receives or stores your card number, CVV, or full payment details — these are handled entirely by Stripe on their servers.
This website does not use cookies for tracking or analytics. Loops.so and Stripe may set cookies necessary for their own operation — refer to their respective privacy policies for details.
How we use your data
- To send you launch updates and pre-order information (email only)
- To process and manage your pre-order payment
- To respond to support or refund requests
We will never sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Data retention
We retain your email address until you unsubscribe. Payment records are retained as required by applicable law and Stripe's own data retention policies.
Refund policy
If RoxPacer has not been released on the App Store by 30 April 2026, you are entitled to a full refund of your pre-order payment. To request a refund, email desmond@mouss.ac with your order reference. We will process all valid refund requests within 5 business days — no questions asked.
Your rights under Singapore's PDPA
Under the Personal Data Protection Act 2012 (Singapore), you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Correct any inaccurate or incomplete personal data
- Withdraw consent and request deletion of your personal data

Children's privacy
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us at desmond@mouss.ac and we will delete it promptly.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app and service evolve. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the app or website after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
RoxPacer is not affiliated with HYROX GmbH. "HYROX" is used descriptively to identify the race format the app is designed for.
